ABOUT PERFORMANCENTER AND PISTONE LTO RACING CHASSIS
Performancenter Racing Warehouse was started by myself, Tom Pistone and one of my best friends John Anthony. We came up with the idea to start a parts business when we discovered how hard it was to find a helmet hook in stock ANYWHERE. I will get back to Performancenter after I let you know about some of our racing ventures. After having huge success in Karts and some in Mini Stock we decided to move up to another division. We were starting out with a limited late model we were going to race at Hickory. I bought this car from my aunt's 14th husband. He was in the racing business and was building this car for himself to race in Limited late model at Hickory. I bought it from him race ready (or so I thought).  Man, I thought I had just got the best deal in the world. Keep in mind he said it was race ready. The first time we ever got it to the track to practice we discovered the block was cracked. That didn't matter at the time to us so we would practice until it got too hot then I would park and cool it down. Usually about 4 or 5 laps at a time. It was so loose I couldn't drive it. Back at the shop my uncle Jimmy let me know that we didn't have a sway bar in the car. There was NO mount or tube or anything for a sway bar. We fixed that problem and showed up cold turkey for the first race. I parked next to Jim and Bud Toner and his brand new Townsend Limited car with a Five Star Camaro body. Bud asked my girlfriend if we were running street stock. That's when we realized we were in trouble. This car was a complete stock Ford rear steer chassis. It had a factory steel Oldsmobile body on it. Looked like a Harry Gant Busch car. It had a 9" Ford rear, Hurst Airhart brakes (from around 1960) it was a five on five car, no fire bottle and a whole page of horrors that I would later discover. I spent every dollar I had saved to go to college on that car. Every single piece on that car was wrong. It was a nightmare. The brakes never worked. I earned a nick name T-Bone Tom because I couldn't stop if someone was spun out in front of me. The one thing it did though, was teach me every single thing there was to know about a race car. It also showed me there was no where to go for any help on a race car. I eventually sold that car piece by piece. The chassis and body became a killer Thunder and Lightning dirt car. I raced Late model stock, ARA (which is UARA now) and USAR Hooters Pro cup. I don't believe in racing against my customers so I hung my helmet up for a while. Performancenter Racing Warehouse and Pistone LTO racing chassis are my passion. I feel the thrill of victory and agony of defeat with every customer. Fortunately we get to experience the victory part most often. The past three years have been huge for the chassis and we have won numerous races and championships. I have no idea why anyone would buy a chassis from another builder, but it happens and makes me work that much harder to prove our product.

I bought out my partner around 2002 and have been running Performancenter ever since. Two of my guys, Jonathon "Outlaw" Morrison (General Manager) and Kenny Fox (Head Fabricator) have been with me over 10 years. We are a NASCAR and UARA Stars Late Model Stock business. We have a huge inventory and keep what you need for these cars. If you go to the bigger parts stores they will sell you a part and not know if it is right for you. We build and develop new parts all the time. We test them on our house car. Once they have proven to be an advantage we sell them.  The shop is 48,000 square feet of pure racing. I welcome you to come and check out our shop, look at any of our cars and hopefully purchase a chassis or clip from us. We welcome any new customers who have another builders chassis. We can help you where they have made empty promises and failed you.

I am often asked how and who I am related to in my family. I am "Tiger" Tom Pistone's grandson. One of many named Tom. We are not original with names in our family. It is either Tom or Pete. If your named Thomas, your middle name is Peter and vice versa. My business has absolutely nothing to do with any other family member or any of their businesses.

I want to have the best-looking chassis on the market, period. I have invested thousands of dollars having the chassis' and spindles' digitized and professionally plotted for the true roll center and all other related points. Performancenter uses Bill Mitchells software; not an out-of-a-magazine $99 program. We can show you anything you would want to know about your late model and assure you that Performancenter's design is where you want to be. Pistone LTO chassis proof is in the results. Other builders can try to impress you with what they say they are going to do for you. I can prove to you what we can do for you. WIN!! Its that simple. We race what we sell and win with what we sell. Track support and set up advice are readily available. We are at the track every race weekend.

    .

Can your chassis builder you use now show you exactly what he is building and why? Detailed notes are made on the chassis and kept in our Pistone LTO database for future reference. I absolutely believe Performancenter has the best looking and performing late model chassis available and I proudly put my name on each one. After the initial sale, customer service and set-up knowledge is a unique trait that sets Pistone LTO apart from any other chassis builder. Over 150 combined wins in 2008 and 2009 is quite an accomplishment.

Celebrating 12 years of business! Pistone LTO appreciates every customer who helped us get here.
